IN SIGHT won Best Exhibition at the prestigious Event Industry Awards last Friday night! We were up against some serious competition so this was an amazing result! Really delighted and hugely grateful to our amazing photographers who bravely shared their photographs and personal stories of homelessness and to all our partners, sponsors and helpers who generously contributed their time, expertise, products, services and goodwill to make this exhibition possible.
IN SIGHT OUT
The second instalment of The IN SIGHT Project 'IN SIGHT OUT' kicked off today in Dublin city centre. We're exhibiting 10 boards from the project on the railings of St. Stephens Green opposite the Shelbourne Hotel from now until December 12th, including one new image 'Me, Myself and I' not exhibited before which we're delighted to say has recently been chosen for the front cover of the new book 'Looking At The Stars'.
Here is a short video of the boards going up : ) Be sure to check it out if you're in town. All images from the project are on sale at www.theinsightproject.ie to raise money for the Dublin Simon Community.

IN SIGHT Exhibition Launch
Fantastic night last night at the IN SIGHT photography project exhibition launch. 40 images from the work of our IN SIGHT photographers was up on show for all to see and looked amazing. We were absolutely delighted with the turnout and want to say a massive thanks to everyone who came, to all our exhibiting photographers and to all the partners, volunteers and sponsors that helped out on the night to make the event as good as it could be. The IN SIGHT exhibition will run in Powerscourt Centre until May 29th so be sure to check it out if you can.
IN SIGHT is a unique project highlighting the issue of homelessness in Ireland through the lens of those that have lived it, i.e. people who are now or have recently been homeless. Over the course of 12 months 45 people were given a disposable camera, photography training and asked to take photos that tell their personal stories of homelessness, to show the world through their eyes. An exhibition of their work runs in Powerscourt Centre Dublin from May 5th to 29th. All photos are also on display and can be purchased at www.theinsightproject.ie with money raised going to the Dublin Simon Community.
Check out our Facebook page for the full album of photos from the night.
Jim
Hanging out with my friend Jim at his exhibition opening in the Green Gallery tonight. Jim is one of Ireland's greatest artists and his stunning work including his intricate celtic paintings, his Thin Lizzy art and his world famous Che Guevara poster are all on show at the Green Gallery until December 11th. And not only is Jim a phenomenal artist, tonight he revealed another amazing hidden talent...that of photobomber extraordinaire! If you get a chance to pop in to the exhibition it's well worth a visit.
